CROWN PAINTS. A COLOURFUL BRITAIN

With the nation gearing up to celebrate the Queen’s 60th year in reign, everyone is going Diamond Jubilee crazy, including us here at Crown Paints.

We’ve commissioned our own spectacularly painted union jack on the side of a terrace house located in the heart of Crown home country – Darwen.

The mural, which stretches the entire expanse of the property, steps away from the typically British red, white and blue and experiments with some of Crown’s more contemporary colours, featuring pastel blues, like Moonlight Bay® and Dramatic®, light pinks and purples, such as Purple Heart® and Pink Sugar® as well as the soft grey of Steel Drum®.

In order for these gorgeous shades to be used on exterior walls, we used Sandtex Trade Smooth Masonry, which was mixed to our specially selected colours for the flag – providing a paint that is durable as well as long lasting.

To help mark this special occasion we’ve invited pupils from the surrounding schools; St Joseph’s and St Cuthbert’s, to come and join in on the fun as we unveil our special royal project.

If you’re in the area, make sure you keep your eye out for our artwork – it’s really quite breathtaking!
