Hi
I am in the process of decorating my hall, stairs and landing with crown vinyl matt and I have already had to wipe clean a small area as it was splashed with something. The splash has come off, but the wipe has left a dark mark…..I thought I should be able to wipe clean the paint?…..

Hi David,
Further to our response this morning, unfortunately there is little that we can suggest as matt emulsion isn’t designed to be wipe clean.
If the surface in question is likely to require to be wiped clean, a Silk, or Mid Sheen emulsion or Crown easyclean will withstand this kind of treatment far better.
I hope these comments are of use to you, should you require any further assistance, please do not hesitate to contacts us or call the ‘Paint Talk’ number on 0870 2401127.
Thank you and Kind Regards

Hey Tracy,
Here at Crown we feel choosing a colour is a very personal experience, so instead of us suggesting a colour, we thought a much better and more interesting option for yourself and your son would to experiment with our 3d colour visualisation (see below link).
http://www.crownpaint.co.uk/colour/602/red-carpet.htm
I have uploaded a red to one wall and then you can choose from all our other shades to create the perfect bedroom.
Hopefully this way you can sway your son away from the colour Black.
Good Luck!
Many Thanks

I have just made some MDF fitted wardrobes and I want a smooth brushless finish. I have never used a roller for gloss or sheen paint. Can you give me some tips on how to do it.
i.e. Is it the same as using emulsion. Do you need to press harder because the paint is thicker. Do I need to load the roller with lots of paint to get a smooth finish.etc. Many thanks.Bob

Since moving here in November 2009 I have used Crown Paint White Gloss on wooden doors – the last time was March 2011. On each occasion the white finish has reverted to a “yellowy” colour. is there an explanation for this. I am thinking about repainting again.

Two weeks ago I painted a large bedroom with matt emulsion from the breatheasy Soft pale tones whispers range. Despite every attempt and use of the room I cannot get rid of the pungent odour left by this paint. It’s really quite unpleasant. Remedies please.

Hi,
My kitchen is quite small and has a pine wooden floor and cabinets. While it is south facing it is quite dark except on very sunny days, which we dont get much of here. What would be a nice colour for it, I have tried yellows and creams but they seem to just blend the whole kitchen in one dull shade. I have tried terracotta but found them too dark. I have bright redish/pink blinds which really suit it, and have thought of a very light red but dont want pink and darker shades are too dark. Any ideas ? I am at a total loss.
