I have used Crown paint for over 30years. In the lat 12months the paint I have applied has gone yellow in a short period of time. The last room was done 4weeks ago. The carpet has not been fitted and where the door was propped agianst the wall depriving the area of light it has gone seriously yellow. There is clearly a problem with pigment stabalisation affected by UV. I await a reply.

Have just painted my daughters bedroom in delicious pink kitchen and bathroom paint. Prepared the walls correctly by painting over the old matt paint with a standard white matt emulsion. First coat of pink went on okay, left it 6 hours and added second coat. Bubbling began on all of the walls but badly on 2 of them. Have left it to dry two days, flatted local areas and tried again. Bubbling started again and basically what ever I do it doesn’t seem to want to stay on the wall. Has even burnt the previous layer of paint off on one of the walls down to bare plaster. Wall was plastered 8 years ago and was previously painted with no issues. I’m now faced wih having to strip all of your paint off (somehow) and repaint from scratch. Paint cost me £75 and really fed up . I’ve also got a 5 year old daughter who can’t go back into her bedroom. What on earth is this paint made out of and have you tested it correctly??? It even reacts with itself when the second coat is added. Please help urgent. Mark Williams

Last week, we proudly exhibited the new Crown Paints developments at the Totally DIY Show at the NEC in Birmingham. Taking pride of place was our brand new earthbalance® range that was being launched to the press and public for the very first time. The environmentally aware paint is perfect for the consumer that wants to make a conscious and informed decision about the type of product they choose. It is 99% solvent free and contains 22% less embodied carbon than the standard paint offering. Furthermore, it is available in 100% recyclable containers and Crown are working with The CarbonNeutral company to offset any emissions produced in the manufacture and distribution of the paint. Also proudly displayed were our new Feature Wall collection, with its six vibrant and impactful new hues, the directional trends predictions and palettes, the stunning new colour guide photography, the Colour of the Decade findings, and developments from Berger, Sadolin and Sandtex. Needless-to-say, all visitors to the stand were thoroughly impressed and inspired by the innovative goings on within Crown Paints.
