In your 2009 catalogue on page 9 you feature a grey sofa within the room setting, could you tell me the make / stockist for this sofa ? or point me in the direction of someone who might know.
I will be eternally grateful for any info, thanks in advance,

used colour collection 2005 to decorate several rooms – I cannot see the names in my local homebase – ok you improvise colours – I simply want to touch up a couple walls !!! The names are: kitchen & bathroom; “Soft Spice” a mid sheen emulsion and “Soft Damson” solo one coat emulsion. Are these colours still for sale? If not what are there 2010 equivalents ??

My son (aged 15) wants his bedroom painted black (all walls), he doesn’t want paper or patterns. What is the best sort of paint to use for this and how can I make the best use of light – is there anyway the room can look a little stylish!

    Hi
The sofa as hired as a prop for the photoshoot, but I am pretty sure it was a Habitat or Heals sofa. We shoot the image in 2008.
Try their websites and I am sure they will have something similar.
I am sorry we cannot be of more help!
    Best of luck

I bought a tin of Crown Breatheasy choc chip matt emulsion about 6 wks ago, which i loved and actually have it in a number of my rooms, i did 1 wall in my bedroom and decided to do 2 more of the walls, bought another tin on Saturday, and its a different shade, the 1st tin i bought was a lovely cadburys dairy milk colour, this new tin is more of a red brown, i thought it would become right after the 2nd coat, but it hasnt, its horrible! I have now had to go over the nice colour on the 1 wall to make them match.
I am really unhappy about this, please advise.
    Regards Margaret Wilkinson

    Margaret
are very sorry to hear you are unhappy with the colour of the Choc Chip Matt. There can be batch to batch variation in paint colours – this should only be minor. If you have bought the paint separately this could have happened to you. I am sorry to hear that the colour you loved at first, is now not how you wished. Please call our Customer Relations Team on our Paint Talk hot line. The team will be able to help and advise you. The number is 0870 240 1127. Lines are open Monday – Friday 7.30am to 5.30pm and on Saturday mornings, 8am – 12 noon.

What is your name?
Sally Hutchinson

What is your job at Crown Paints?
Marketing Assistant for Crown

What is the best bit about your job?
Ok, so bit of a geek as pretty much enjoy all of it! Help out in most areas, from the fun stuff like press launch to ever so slightly more boring spreadsheet stuff. Taking delivery of 10,000, yes, 10,000(!!!) chocolate bars last year was also a possible highlight… Probably should also mention the team I work with seeing as they’ve all thought to say nice things, haha. They’re great, really good crack.

What is your favourite room in the house and why?
Recently moved back home to the parents so now being treated to comfy sofa’s in the living room and a kitchen full of food, something I’ve not experienced for quite a while! I’m also a fan of my bedroom right now as it’s full of all the stuff from my old house including my ‘authentic’ Egyptian rug and copper lantern which is definitely not made in China (*cough*)love these items and make the room proper cosy.

What is your favourite colour?
Orange, it’s bright, fun and a bit cheeky

If you were any Crown colour, what would it be?
Probably Summer Pudding…sun & food, 2 of my absolute favourite things

If you could pick a new name for a Crown colour, what would it be?
Beach bum

What has been your biggest DIY disaster?
Haven’t really painted lots due to renting, but my old house itself was an actual, full on DIY disaster…lilac carpet (from the first time it was cool) and a peach raggy curtain & walls in the kitchen. Peach. Enough said.

Where and what would your dream home be?
Argh too many places. Either a huge millionaire’s mansion on a beach road in Perth, a villa in Sorrento, OR, a proper old, cosy, stone house in the country. But obviously when I become a millionaire I won’t have to make such hard choices…

Most people have a dedicated outfit for decorating. What’s yours?
Shorts, old haiviana flip flops and vest top. Sexy.

What one piece of furniture could you not live without?
My bed and yep, that old Egyptian rug… J
