Have you got a shed load of unwanted paint in your garage and not sure what to do with it? Do you want to make a difference to your community? If the answer’s yes, then listen up…

As a supporting partner of Climate Week, we’ve launched our ‘Kick Out The Can’ campaign – a two week recycling programme, enabling you guys to free up your sheds and garages from any unwanted paint and help needy causes in the process. What’s not to love?

We’ve all got an unused tin of emulsion lurking on a shelf or in a cupboard somewhere. Trouble is, most of us aren’t really sure how to dispose of it. Do you bin it? Do you pour it down the drain? Definitely not! Here’s your answer…

From Monday 4th until Saturday 16th March, you’ll be able to bring any unwanted paint back to your nearest Crown Decorating Centre, where it’ll be processed and then donated to local community projects. Our partner, the regeneration charity Groundwork, will be distributing the recycled paint to worthy causes and the leftover plastic and metal paint containers will also be reprocessed and recycled.

So what are you waiting for? Grab those tins and head on down to Crown. You never know, your paint may end up on the walls of youth centres, community halls, or in a fabulous piece of art….and you’ll have lovely tidy garage or shed!
