    Hi
Apologies for the late reply. It is a great idea to re vamp furniture.
Solo Gloss or Satin in Pure Brilliant White would be suitable products to paint furniture. It is important, for a longer lasting finish to prepare the surface of your furniture properly. Sand the surface (wear a dust mask) to provide a key for the paint to adhere too. It is a good idea to use a primer before your top coat. Crown have a range that would be suitable.
Crown Wood Primer & Undercoat or try Crown Multi Surface Primer & undercoat. You can apply your top coat with a brush or mini gloss roller. Solo Gloss with give you a high shine finish, and Solo Satin will give you a mid shine finish. Gloss is more durable for furniture. If you require any more help or advice call our Paint Talk help line on 08702401127.
    Best of luck
    The Crown Team

Painted the woodwork in an entire two bedroom, two bathroom flat with Crown gloss paint at the end of last year and the whole lot is yellow already. Really disappointed after all that work and all that money wasted on paint. All needs painting again.

Gareth mentioned that crown said the paint goes yellow in dark areas???

What do you do when it’s dark outside???

Are you expected to sleep with your lights on just to make sure your paint doesn’t go yellow???

I have used Crown paint for over 30years. In the last twelve months new paintwork which I have painted has gone yellow very quickly. The most recent was a bedroom fully redecorated only 4weeks ago. The pigment suffers from stabalisation affected by UV. Really annoyed.
I have written to Crown !!!!!!!

I written three complaints to Crown and was promised a call from a represenative. I am still waiting. Perhaps they are struggling to get through the imense number of complaints from customers who are hhaving problems with their product.

I am regretting that i bought crown company paint . I bought 2 paint tins of crown fawn suede paint for our wall , the first paint tin I used was the colour Iwanted was happy and satisfied , we finished 2nd coat half of it and ran out ofpaint so we bought same company same colour paint and finished our room. The problem starts now, our room is divided into 2 shades now which looks awful. We thought to get it exchange and we did it .Just try the new tin but its still same. I want the oinal colour but the shop run out of it

I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND CROWN COMPAANY PAINT INSTEAD ITS BETTER TO USE CHEAP B & Q OR OTHER PAINTS….

Even more proof – Crown Solo® One Coat: It’s Crown’s Best One!
We’ve always been rather proud of our Crown trim paints, in particular Crown Solo® Paint. But we’re thrilled it’s been given the recognition it deserves by Which? Magazine – being awarded with the covetable Which? Magazine Best Buy for a gloss paint.
Following rigorous testing and analysis in the Which? Laboratories, Crown Solo® came up trumps with our guaranteed one coat gloss in Pure Brilliant White.  Which? artificially aged painted panels in their testing before dropping weights on them to test for impact-resistance. They found Crown Solo® to stand up best to yellowing and was resistant to pesky household stains such as red wine and cooking oil. Scoring an impressive 66% over four categories including application, appearance, durability and yellowing, Crown came top of the league in this independent test.
In the Which? Test Lab Report (July 2010 issue) Crown Liquid Gloss paint also received a very high score of 63%, a respectable 3rd in the charts, receiving 5 stars for appearance, durability & resistance to yellowing.
Crown Non Drip Gloss also came 9th with a score of 57%.

So when considering Which gloss paint to pick up for some summer decorating we’ve got the best buy right here!
